Our cute son, Vyeshka, was born Oct 3, 2004. His body left this world in 2019, but his spirit still watches over us. Happy Birthday, Vyeshka!
This pretty bird didn’t mind the sun at all. The day was scorching hot, but s/he stood in the bright rays while having a look around. This bird was part of a big flock that was hanging around a marsh filled with cattails.
I was lucky to catch this pretty, natural image of a bee on a purple flower. I don’t see as many bees around as I used to, and it’s hard to catch them sitting still long enough to get a snapshot. This scene happened in Autumn, but the plant’s leaves were still a vibrant green. The plant was growing beneath a holly tree.
I took this image of plants growing near the beach along the Pacific Ocean. Despite the loose sand and strong winds, these plants manage to thrive and even flower!
Today is September 1st. Last year in September, I took this photo while strolling along a beach in southwestern Washington State, USA. A beautiful memory!!
I took this picture in the Olympic Mountains in Washington State, USA. It’s hard to believe, but living branches still reached for the sky at the very top of this huge tree trunk. I just love the colors and textures of the wood!
This beauty posed for me near the bank of a stream. Her feathers glowed in the evening sun. The sun’s angle also drew out shadows and gentle waves. All and all, it was a wonderful day 🙂
A few years ago, we had forest fires creep close to our home. I was reading about fires in other places just recently and dug out this photo. The sun looked like an autumn moon.
This cute frog posed for me just long enough to take his/her picture. He’s standing on a flax leaf in my front yard.
I took this picture while heading home from a walk near the Pacific Coast in southwestern Washington State, USA. The yellows and oranges were dazzling!
