Our son, Vyeshka, was born on this day, October 3, back in 2004. He left this world in 2019, but his spirit is ever with us. He is middle-aged in this photo and was just recovering from one of many surgeries, including a skin graft. Thanks to great doctors, he recovered and went on to spend many more years with us. Here’s to you, my guardian angel!

The publisher is still working on my third book–Toxic Sphere, Enemy Apparent. They are setting up the interior format and doing cover design. I can’t wait to see how it turns out!
My book contains several scenes where prisoners are tortured in an illegal prison. The facility is in an old military base that is built into a mountain. This picture shows what the torture rooms may look like.

I took this picture decades ago, long before digital cameras. A fresh snowstorm was rolling in.
I was walking near the coast, and this view jumped out at me. It reminds me of a region called the “Lowlands” in my fictional country of Domataland. The main country in my Toxic Sphere novels is Cadona. Domataland is the “enemy nation” in the story.
One fictional country in my “Toxic Sphere” book series is called Fletchia. It is a mountainous land.
I took this picture while on a high-country hike. The scene reminds me of a place that a person might see in Fletchia.
